Well, I’m back for my second blog post and the first addition to “Inside Fraser Valley”.
Inside Fraser Valley will feature some of our favorite local businesses, community events and everything in-between.
If you have never heard of Krause Berry Farm and you live in the Fraser Valley you must live under a rock! But, don’t worry, I’m not judging you… I’m here to let you know all there is to know about the farm. I bet you’ll make an extra special trip out there, after reading this blog.
What brought us to Krause Berry farms on this beautiful Wednesday Morning was the waffles!
Right now the fruit of choice is strawberries, however, throughout the Summer it changes from raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries (sometimes it’s even a mix!)
Now, these waffles aren’t just your regular waffles… they are probably the MOST amazing, fresh, pile of goodies you have ever had. Made to order right in front of you it doesn’t get much better than that!
Walking into Krause Berry Farm Market you will see a little bit of everything… They have fresh fruit, veggies, pies, ice cream, fruit perogies, jams, honey, gifts and more!
If you’re looking to get your hands dirty they also have a u-pick field where you can pick your own berries. However, if you want to just enjoy some of the local fresh berries they also have pre-picked frozen and fresh to choose from.
Next, has to be the Estate Winery. You heard me right WINEEEEE! You’re probably wondering why this wasn’t #1 on the list… I know, shocking coming from such wine enthusiasts like us but it’s an important feature that shall not be missed!
One of my personal favorite features of the tasting room has to be the saddle seating at the bar while you’re tasting their delicious fruit wines, and let’s not forget their signature boot mugs!
The Estate Winery and Restaurant are open Wednesday to Sunday from 9:30am – 5:00pm. Friday nights the Estate Winery Restaurant is OPEN till 9pm with a Fresh Sheet Menu for dinner. Click here to view menu, see prices and learn more.
Now I could go on and on and on about all the millions of other things that happen around the farm like… Classes, Fresh Farm boxes, bakery and even the fact that you can get married here or host private corporate functions! but I’ll save you all from reading my already long blog and you can just click on the links I added to find out more about all that.
However, speaking of weddings… Kim and I went actually attended a wedding ceremony at Krause a few weeks back and let me tell you… this venue is absolutely stunning… So if you are reading this and you’re engaged or maybe just planning your dream wedding on Pinterest make sure you PIN this venue!
Well, I think that’s a wrap! Until next time 🙂
