As September 7th rolls around, students across British Columbia are gearing up for the return to school. For those with teenagers embarking on their final year of high school, there’s an added thrill: an essay contest that could be an exciting opportunity for them to showcase their writing skills.

Program Details:

RE/MAX of Western Canada is presenting an outstanding opportunity for grade students: the chance to win one of 16 $1,000 bursaries, along with a potential RE/MAX hot air balloon ride for two. This program kicks off on September 13, 2021, and students have until midnight on March 14, 2022, to submit their entries. To be eligible, applicants need to be residents of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon Territory, or the Northwest Territories.

The initiative by RE/MAX of Western Canada is designed to acknowledge and celebrate Western Canadian students for their achievements and commitments, particularly in areas of leadership and community involvement.

How To Enter:

To enter the contest, students are asked to write a brief online essay, with a maximum length of 1,250 words, detailing their community contributions. The essay should highlight their leadership qualities, motivational spirit, and communication abilities. Entrants are encouraged to include instances of volunteering, involvement in charity events or fundraising efforts, and any actions they have taken to enhance the lives of others in their communities. These attributes will showcase their commitment to making a positive impact and will be a central part of their submission.
